Sip Shine Evolves into Rapid River Beverage Company, Launches Rapid River Stillhouse Restaurant

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (June 18, 2024) – Sip Shine LLC, the Grand Rapids-based moonshine company, is excited to announce their transformation into the Rapid River Beverage Company, a parent company set to encompass a diverse portfolio of spirits, wine, and beer. Coinciding with this exciting development, they are proud to unveil the Rapid River Stillhouse, a new restaurant and entertainment venue located at the corner of Bridge and Stocking in Grand Rapids.

“The Stillhouse is a multi-purpose venue that not only showcases our brand but gives our patrons a new experience each time they visit,” said Dale Kivinen, Experience and Marketing Director for Rapid River Beverage Company. “You can sample our products, take in a show on our live stage, enjoy southern-style cuisine in our restaurant, and cap off your visit with a trip to the rooftop deck”.

The Rapid River Stillhouse will serve as the exclusive launchpad for the company’s new line of locally-produced spirits, wine, and beer. These handcrafted beverages will initially be available only at the Stillhouse, with plans to expand distribution across Michigan in the near future.

Sip Shine, the brand that started it all, will remain a cornerstone of Rapid River’s portfolio and while not offered at the Stillhouse it will continue to be offered through their national distribution network.

“We are beyond excited to announce what we have been working on over the past year,” said Nick Rice, CEO of Rapid River Beverage Company. “Being a company born during COVID, we really didn’t get the opportunity to launch Sip Shine the way we wanted to. With this beautiful and newly renovated building, we felt like it is the perfect time to create something special for our community. Even the name is derived from Grand Rapids and the Grand River that flows through it. With Rapid River, it allows us to do so much more than just moonshine, and we can’t wait to share what we have created.”
